Is this really free? What’s the catch?
Yes — there is no upfront cost for qualified homeowners. No deposit, no install fee, no financing. The only thing you pay is your monthly bill for the clean power the panels produce, which is structured to be lower than what you currently pay your utility.
Is it a loan? Will it affect my credit?
No. This is not a solar loan and has nothing to do with financing. There is no hard credit pull, no monthly debt added to your name, and no interest. You pay a per-kWh rate for the power the system produces, period.
Is this halal-friendly?
The Salam Solar offer is structured as a service agreement to purchase clean power produced from panels installed on your home — not a loan or interest-based instrument. We are happy to walk through the agreement with your imam or family advisor.
Who maintains the panels?
The panels and inverters are maintained at no cost to you for the life of the agreement. If anything fails, we handle it.
Do I need a high electric bill to qualify?
Not necessarily. The two biggest factors are roof condition and direct sunlight. We review both during the eligibility check at no cost — even if you don’t end up qualifying, the review is yours to keep.
Do you speak Arabic?
Yes — نعم. Our team supports both English and Arabic conversations from first call to install day. Many of our installations are in Dearborn, Dearborn Heights, and Hamtramck.
